Toxins

Numerous factors, such as climate change and developing global food supply chains, mean that toxins are increasingly prevalent in everyday life, and the need for accurate and reliable analysis has never been greater.
Mycotoxins are the most prevalent toxins in the environment causing many different chronic diseases. Metabolites are naturally released by certain types of moulds and are able to grow on numerous foodstuffs such as cereals, dried fruits, nuts and spices. Cyanotoxins are produced and contained in the cells of a wide variety of planktonic cyanobacteria. The release of these in an algal bloom and the surrounding water leads to enriched toxins in fish, shellfish and other marine animals through the food chain.
We're pleased to be able to offer an extensive and high quality range of toxin standards either as neat materials, individual solutions or as a preparation of specific mixtures.
