Biodiesel is a clean burning alternative fuel, produced from domestic, renewable resources, such as virgin soybean and rapeseed (canola) oils. Biodiesel contains no petroleum, but it can be blended at any concentration with petroleum diesel to create a biodiesel blend. In general blends, the percentage of biodiesel in petroleum diesel is 5% (B5 standards) and 20% (B20 standards). B100 standards denote 100% unblended biodiesel standards. Blends of biodiesel and pure unblended biodiesel can be used in modern diesel engines with no modification required.
